Simcoe-Grey MP Community Leader Awards announced

Terry Dowdall, Member of Parliament for Simcoe-Grey, is pleased to announce the winners of the 1st Annual Simcoe-Grey MP Community Leader Awards.
The Awards are divided into five categories that recognize people, businesses, or organizations which, through volunteer work, have gone above and beyond in making a positive difference in the lives of others in their community. The 2021 winners are:
• Youth – William Hammond
• Adult – Raymond Hardisty
• Senior – Dave Sadleir
• Business – The Georgian Triangle Humane Society
• Service Club / Religious Organization – Interact Club
“One of the reasons that Simcoe—Grey is the best place to live is the large number of dedicated volunteers which we have. Without them, our communities would not be as vibrant,” said Dowdall. “This is why I am proud to announce the first group of winners. It was a tremendously difficult task picking just one for each category.”
Winners in each of the categories have been notified. There will be a congratulatory ceremony and luncheon for them this spring or summer – likely outdoors – as COVID-19 restrictions permit.
