Skin by Jennifer goes mobile with facials, treatments
Jennifer Page has had a smile on her face ever since her decision to leave the corporate world behind and launch her own mobile skin care business, now operating in the Creemore area.
Page said she spent 15 years working in sales for some very successful start- up companies when the corporate world started to lose its lustre. During a maternity leave throughout 2020 she took the time to do a little soul searching and decided to launch herself into the field of skin care, absorbing everything she could. She was accepted to a college program in Toronto and says she studied day and night, immersing herself in her new passion.
Page said she realized that what was missing was that human connection.
“I realized that helping people and treating people was really important,” she said.
This year, she launched Skin by Jennifer, a mobile skin care service, after receiving feedback and encouragement from her Mulmur parent group, who agreed that it was not easy to find a place to get pampered within the immediate area.
Page admits she too loves to be pampered and was inspired by her grandmother who taught her how to take care of her skin and her mother who treated her to facials on special occasions throughout her childhood.
As a mobile aesthetician, she specializes in medical and relaxing skincare treatments, including; diamond and microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, chemical peels, and high frequency facials. The treatments come with relaxing massage to release built up energy and toxins from the skin. She also offers pressure point release, lymphatic drainage massage, dry brushing, facial cupping and more.
A self described over achiever, Page said she continues to expand her repertoire. She prides herself on creating a lush environment for treatments triggering all the senses with music, scents, and high end facial products that align with her values, in that they are as natural as possible and female-owned.
“I find so much joy in making people happy and seeing them melt into the bed while doing facials,” she said.
She is an advocate for a good daily cleansing routine, deep exfoliation and a good moisturizer with sunscreen. She said she understands different skin types and how to treat them.
Page said she finds people living locally love to spend time in the outdoors, both in summer and winter. That means most of her clients benefit from hydration. She also treats acne, dark spots, wrinkles and fine lines.
Page said people may be surprised to learn that a lot of the signs of aging are superficial and can be reduced when build ups of dead cells and clogged pores are properly extracted.
