The 24th Annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is on Sunday, May 29 at the Simcoe County Museum.

This year is the first in-person walk since 2019. Come enjoy a beautiful day full of healthy exercise, refreshments, performances, and fun! The Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County (ASSC) is raising money to support persons living with dementia, one of themost pressing health care issues of our time, affecting at least 10,500 residents in Simcoe County.

ASSC is calling out to all of Simcoe County to take part in the annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s and walk 10,500 Steps with us for 10,500 people in Simcoe County living with dementia. Walk with a team or walk alone, with your dog or with a family member or a friend – do it for dementia.

All funds raised will stay in our community to support the delivery of counselling, support groups, education and social recreational programs to persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, their families and care partners.

“This is a very difficult and unknown road for us and the people at the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County make it seem somewhat less uncertain!”, ASSC Client.

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is the Alzheimer Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Thanks to the generosity and determination of Simcoe County residents taking part each year, the Walk raised over $100,000 to provide much needed services to our community.

“You can make a difference in the lives of those living with dementia” says Debbie Islam, Chief Executive Officer. “Let’s come together as a community and make this our most successful walk yet!”
