Tree Society hosts Food and Foliage event

 In Events

The Tree Society of Creemore invites you to our second Food and Foliage event. We have booked the Station on the Green for Saturday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.

Once again, there will be appetizers, dinner, dessert and featured speaker all for $25, which includes annual membership to the Tree Society for 2019. Wine and beer will be available at this event. The door prize will be a stay at a downtown Toronto Hotel. Tickets will be available from Tree Society members and at The Creemore Echo and Creemore Village Pharmacy beginning next week. One of the TSOC members will also be selling tickets at the Thanksgiving Market at the Station on the Green this Saturday. Get yours soon…we are limiting the tickets to 60.

Our speaker this year is Professor Karen Landman with the Landscape Architecture School at the University of Guelph. Just reading about her online and seeing the work she has done and is doing with students at the University has made the members of TSOC very eager to meet her and listen to her ideas. It promises to be an interesting evening and we hope you join the Tree Society.

Our fall planting will be taking place shortly in and around the Village. Nine more trees will be planted by Triple J. That brings the total number of trees that the Tree Society has had planted in 2018 to 29. We are now looking ahead to next year with our tree planting plan.
