Chicken Little forecasts yet to be backed up with hard data

 In Letters, Opinion

Editor:

After the abuse you received last edition from the orchestrated complaints about where you place “turbine” articles, perhaps you, intrepid reporter, would like to put on the front page a report of the article I’m sending to you.

So far as I know, or the Ontario Ministry of Health, no one has died from turbines, flew into one, or backed up the other “Chicken Little” forecasts of doom and gloom with hard data, e.g. from Germany, China, the United States, etc., etc., where I presume all of the world’s stupid people must live!

Maybe the complainers wouldn’t mind having your “turbine” news printed on the front page at their expense, at your usual rates for such prominent placement, like any other “advertiser”, rather than as a freeloader?

Is taking your choice of story placement to task not an infringement on freedom of the press, or a censure of our Charter? Or maybe your reading public is so jaded with this story that they would prefer it on the same page as the obituaries?

Bill Jeffery,

Clearview.
