Barrie man killed in Clearview crash

A Barrie man was killed in a two-vehicle collision in the area of 3/4 Sideroad and Concession Road 7 of Sunnidale on June 10.

Huronia West OPP, Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedic Service responded to the scene at about 6:15 p.m.

Police say the deceased, 51-year-old David Calvert, was the driver of the westbound vehicle.

As a result of the collision, police had 3/4 Sideroad closed between Concession Road 9 and Concession Road 6 and Concession Road 7 closed between Centre Line Road and 6/7 Sideroad to aid in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
