Talk of arena closure cavalier

How cavalier of Kevin Elwood to say that Creemore Arena is old and must be sold, saying ice time expenses don’t justify its operation.

Selling it to profit new “infrastructure” in Stayner sounds like he graduated from The Wynne School of Economics. Considering Nottawa needs $34 million  for vital sewer and water now… where’s the priority?

Guessing hockey parents will tell their kids to take the Clearview Transit to Stayner? Oh wait… the perennial money loser doesn`t even service Creemore.

The arena and curling club are social anchors of the community. I am totally mystified at what gets proposed at preliminary Budget 2017 talks.

On another item, Clearview wants to spend (waste) $50,000 on signs and planters. How about spending that on parking? Merchants on main streets need patrons. Patrons need proper parking. Clearview doesn’t need more signs, they haven’t finished the rebranding signage yet and that was $65,000.
