Lost cups piling up in Mulmur too

I saw Mr. Lackie’s considerate post in The Echo Friday about the exquisite little cup he found, and I appreciate him for going to the trouble of grabbing it off the trail and trying to find its rightful owner.

He is to be commended for being thoughtful and considerate, but oddly enough where I live in Mulmur on a beautiful picturesque sideroad I too have found a number of similar cups. The ones that I have found are red with white letters and also look to be of the same material as the cup he found. I know the person(s) that have lost these will most definitely be happy to know that I found them. I have them in a container I keep in my garage waiting for the owner(s) to retrieve them and have left my number at the township office for those poor souls to be reunited with their purchases if they come looking for them. I assume they are not from our area as they haven’t apparently been back looking for them, but I will keep a look out if I see anyone else misplacing such items and make sure they are returned to their rightful owners. It is so unfortunate that items like these are misplaced so regularly.
