Common sense approach is to restore 80km/h zone

Concerning the speed limit on Highway 91 approaching and leaving Duntroon.

“Share the Road” is a community minded slogan which is a positive refrain.

91 is shared by cars, trucks, motorcycles, bikes and large agricultural vehicles

Heading west the speed limit is reduced to 50 at the beginning of the upward incline. I’ve observed increased toxic emissions from gearing down and a

subsequent loss of momentum of all vehicles larger than cars. The residences on that side of the road are generally recessed with clear sight lines.

Heading east on the downward portion of the incline there exist no residences so 50 makes no sense.

Returning the speed limit to 80 on both sides appears to make common sense.

Dan Watkin,

Duntroon.
