9U vs Mansfield Cubs
The Cardinals hosted the Mansfield Cubs on Tuesday and it was a slugfest.
The teams exchanged big hits throughout the entire game but it was the Cubs who would take this one in the end.
Every player really impressed in this game, with many highlight moments. Seth Rose and Everett Kaden made stunning plays at second base for a couple key outs. Finley Ross tracked a high pop fly down in the sun, made the catch and threw a strike over to first to turn a slick double play. Theo Wadsworth snagged a laser of a ground ball, making an absolutely incredible out at second base and Griffin McIntosh-Shepley crushed a three-run home run in the first.
With one game left in the regular season, the Cardinals are looking forward to an exciting playoff in two weeks time.
Baseball Day in Creemore
This past Saturday, Caroline McIntosh Real Estate presented Baseball Day in Creemore.
The day began with an exciting 9U game in the rain and mud. The visiting Stayner White Sox and the Cardinals put on a great show for the fans. It was a strong defensive game for Creemore who shutout the opposition.
Vaugh Veljacic and Adair Mcintosh-Shepley connected for the highlight of the game, as Vaughn was able to throw out a hitter at first base from the outfield.
Mcintosh-Shepley supplied a home run and Gage Kaden was a rock behind the plate contributing to the shutout.
Other day’s events included home run derbies, raffles and the 12U rep game that unfortunately had to be rescheduled to the following day.
Congrats the Home Run derby winners: Miles McIntosh-Martin (6U), Zach M (8U) *(local champ Katie Duits), Griffin McIntosh-Shepley (9U), Ziggy Woyzbun (11U), and Ty Hamilton (12U).
