In appreciation of ‘volunteer’ firefighters
Editor:
We are writing to give a shout out for Logan Davidson and other members of the Clearview volunteer fire department for their highly professional management and resolution of a mid-afternoon carbon monoxide emission we experienced from our outdoor generator recently.
Fortunately, our carbon monoxide alarm was triggered very soon after the initial emission into the house and we were advised by Huronia Alarm to immediately vacate the house and contact the fire department.
They arrived within a very few minutes and spent over 90 minutes to complete their extremely professional and thorough investigation and remediation process.
As we all waited together outside for them to give us the “all clear”, we had the opportunity to learn about the members of the team, their “day jobs” on top of their volunteer work together and that they are effectively always on call. They are an extremelyimpressive and engaging group who deserve our sincere community appreciation and are such an essential contributor to help to making this the little village with a big heart.
