St. Luke’s Community Food bank launches holiday campaign

 In News, Uncategorised

As of Nov. 13, bins will be setup throughout Creemore to accept donations for the St. Luke’s Community Food Bank.

Partners are working together to make sure the food bank’s shelves are stocked for the upcoming season and that families have what they need for Christmas. A ‘reverse advent calendar’ program asks people to donate specific items up until Dec. 11, such as stovetop stuffing, cranberries, cereal and chocolates, in preparation for a pre-Christmas delivery.

Donation bins will be located at Home Hardware, Foodland, Creemore Village Pharmacy and The Old Mill House Pub.

Donations of gift cards and money are also encouraged, which can be dropped off at The Echo office, at 3 Caroline St. W.

Donations can also be made directly to St. Luke’s Anglican Church. Contact coordinator Rev. Lorna May at lornathedeacon@gmail.com.
