OP, a critical document for our future

Thank you to council, staff and consultants for hosting a very informative and well executed final open house for Clearview’s draft Official Plan (OP) last Wednesday.

The OP, which lays out how our township will grow and develop over the next 20 years, is a critical document for our future, spanning a time period well in excess of the typical tenure of council and staff members.

Mayor Doug Measures did a great job chairing the meeting and noted that including public input at this time within the development of an OP is not a requirement but that their objective is to make sure this OP is a “made in Clearview” document.

The packed council chambers and good comments from those in attendance attested to the keen interest Clearview residents and landowners have in helping ensure a vibrant future for our beautiful township.
