Fine cuisine as performance art
Editor:
Last weekend, we visited friends in the area, to take in the annual Jim Cuddy Jamboree. On Saturday, we were privileged to experience the tasting menu at The Pine. We were blown away to find such a fabulous restaurant in Creemore.
Our party of six was seated at the kitchen-facing Chef’s Table with a bird’s eye view of the magic. Chef/owner Jeremy Austin and his team delighted us with 17 exquisitely prepared courses, each a perfect morsel bursting with complex flavours and visual appeal.
With just 24 seats, the restaurant is an intimate setting in which to experience the culinary artistry. The Husband and Wife Meat Slice (venison) and the French Concession (foie gras) were particular favourites. In the 10 years we’ve been visiting Creemore, this dinner stands out as a highlight.
Bravo!
