New Lowell Minor Baseball registration opens
New Lowell Minor Baseball Association (NLMBA) is a volunteer, non-profit and community operated organization within the Township of Clearview. The Association is beginning to prepare and plan for the 2025 season by registering House League teams into the South Simcoe Minor Baseball Association (SSMBA). Rep and Dedicated Select Teams, which are more competitive, are entered into York Simcoe Baseball Association (YSBA) so that the teams are able to play in a league throughout the season. NLMBA is for all children and youth from 4-18 years of age, no matter what experience or skill level they maintain as the main goals are to ensure the players develop and have fun.
NLMBA’s registration is online and currently underway for the 2025 season. Spaces for 6U are limited but there are currently several spaces available on the house league teams for 8U, 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U. There will be a registration session held at the New Lowell Legion Branch 516 on March 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for people who prefer to register in- person, access information or finalize registrations by paying registration fees or submitting deposits.
NLMBA will also have a table set up at the Clearview Township Health and Leisure Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 1 at the Stayner Community Centre. Members of the executive will be in attendance at the table to answer any questions or concerns and to discuss what the association has to offer.
Coaches require three online courses in order to be a head coach for teams from 8U to 18U.
On April 26, either at 10 a.m. or 12:30 p.m., there will be a coach’s scheduling meeting at the Stayner Community Centre, two to four weeks before the start of the season, depending on weather. NLMBA thanks all of its sponsors for their support during the season. A list of sponsors are on the website sponsor page.
