Library screens Shepherds film
Ever wonder what a flock of 826 sheep look like?
You will find out when you join us for the Clearview Public Library’s presentation of the 2024 TIFF winning film Shepherds that we will be screening at the Station on the Green on Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 1 p.m. This is a free event in celebration of National Canadian Film Day.
Shepherds is the story about Maythas, a Montreal advertising executive who decides to leave his city life in Canada to try his hand at being a shepherd in the south of France.
He signs on to guide a transhumance (a form of pastoral nomadism) for 17 days from the home sheepfold to the Alps.
What happens during this movie (113 minutes) ends up being much more than just a physical journey as it turns into a quest for his true meaning of life.
It has been said that this cinematic film masterpiece will make you want to “go on an adventure, to commune with nature and bite into life” either here in sheep country in Clearview Township or across the Atlantic in Provence!
Tickets (complimentary but recommended to guarantee your seat) are available at the Creemore Branch (705-466-3011).
Guests who show up at the door will be welcomed after all ticket holders have been seated. Treats and drinks will be available for purchase from the Station on the Green coffee bar.
