Valedictorian – Cooper Duits
The graduating student selected by the Grade 8 class and by the staff to speak at the graduation ceremonies on behalf of the graduates. This student should display the qualities of outstanding citizenship and skill in public speaking.
Creemore Legion Music Award – Bianca Crossman and Aurelia White
Presented to the student or students whose attitude, cooperation, effort and achievement is exemplary in instrumental music.
Outstanding Citizenship Awards Presented in memory of Merle MacDonald – Cooper Duits and Thomas Weldon
Presented to a students who most exemplify the qualities of good citizenship at school and in the community. These qualities are shown throughout the year and include: honesty, cooperation, diligence, friendship, support of peers, and a positive attitude.
Community Service Award – Aurelia White
Presented to the student who volunteers around the school and in the community and gives back to others through their actions and service.
Principal’s Award – McKenzie Myers
This award is sponsored by the Ontario Principals Council and is presented to the student who displays ongoing leadership, interpersonal qualities, initiative, and promotes the Character Education attributes in the daily life of our school.
French Award – Annika Cooper
Presented to the graduate who exhibits a strong performance in oral communication, reading and writing. This student has strong communication skill in French, demonstrates an understanding of the nature of the language and shows an appreciation for French culture in Canada and other parts of the world. This student achieves academic excellence, actively participates in French class and is a positive role model for the French language.

History: Cooper Duits and Hayden GoodFellow Oster
Presented to the top two students for outstanding achievement in each of art and history.
Angus McLennan for Most Improved – Bianca Crossman
Presented to the students who have significantly improved their attitude and achievement over the year. Consideration is given to social, emotional and intellectual growth in all curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Hamilton Brothers Award for Outstanding Athlete – Olexandr Verlatov and McKenzie Myers
Presented to the boy and girl who have demonstrated superior sportsmanship, athletic ability, leadership and participation. Consideration is given to performance in intramural and extra-mural sports, classroom physical education classes and organization games and activities during non assigned times.
Perry Foundation Award – Cooper Duits and Annabelle Hamilton
Presented to the two highest academic achievers graduating from Grade 8.
Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards – Presented to students who demonstrate a high degree of achievement in all or most areas of study at their program level and who demonstrate a positive attitude and a consistent effort in their studies throughout the year. (80% average).

JM Heslip Award – Cooper Duits
Presented to the student who demonstrated the highest academic achievement. Consideration is given to test results, observations of work habits, initiative and self discipline, abstract thinking abilities and overall achievement in all areas of the school’s program.
Ayla Lundy Award – Brayden Johnston
Embodies all that Ayla represented – friend to all, resiliency, perseverance, throughout their time at NCPS.
Environmental Award – Norah Huizinga
Presented to the student that demonstrates a passion in the area of environmental sustainability through actions, both in the school and/or the community.
Math Award – Olexandr Verlatov and Annabelle Hamilton
Presented to the student who demonstrates independent learning and strong performance in the area of Mathematics, participating in all aspects of the classroom learning environment.
English Award – Simon Rentsch and Annabelle Hamilton
Presented to the student who demonstrates interest and talent, and a strong performance in the area of English (Reading, Writing, Oral Communication and Media).
