Collision claims life of teen

A 17-year-old from Collingwood was killed Oct. 10 in a single-vehicle collision on 33-34 Sideroad Nottawasaga in Clearview Township.

Police responded to the scene at about 8:45 p.m., along with local fire and emergency medical services, where the young man was pronounced dead. The passenger, a 17-year-old male from Collingwood, was transported to a Toronto-area hospital for treatment.

The road remained closed until the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team concluded their initial investigation at 5 a.m. the next morning.
