Local farmers Keith Currie (right) and Brent Preston each gave a keynote address in front of 400 delegates at the Globe Food Leadership Summit in Calgary earlier this month. Currie, who farms near Nottawa and is the president of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, spoke on shaping a competitive, resilient, and secure future for Canada’s agriculture and food sector. Preston, who farms near Dunedin and is the president of Farmers for Climate Solutions, spoke on transforming agriculture through innovation, sustainability, and deep collaboration across the entire supply chain.
