RYERSE, Barbara Ann (née Litt) Passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, in her 93rd year. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Orin. She will always be remembered with love by her children Randy (the late Wendy), Phyllis (Kevan) Dineen, Susan (the late Rick) Livingstone, Dan, Collin (Cindy) and Sam (Linda). Her youngest, Joanne, did not survive birth. Barbara leaves a cherished legacy of love for her grandchildren: Brandy (Darcie), Michael (Natalie), Jamie (Samantha), Dan, David (Christine), Kathryn (Greg), Jennifer, Ben (Jaimee), Rebecca (Aaron), Mitchell, Emily (Cole), Jessica (Colin), Alex (Sarah), Joey (Maddie) and Luke (Rylee), as well as her 14 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Carl (the late Carol) and Mervin (Wendy), predeceased by her brother Ronald (Jean). Barbara also had many much-loved nieces and nephews whom she always loved to visit with. Barbara was born in Moorefield to Joseph and Adeline. Her early years were in Waterloo and later in Breslau at her father’s gas station. That’s where she met Orin, a friend of her brother Ronald. She always said he would go through a set of tires every year. They made a home in Breslau, later moving to the farm on the 10th Conc Nottawasaga with their 6 children. Grandkids will always remember ice cream, grandma’s chili, sloppy joes and chicken noodle soup. Many thanks to her friends and everyone at Bayhaven. Special thanks to her care team at CGMH.
