Hospital recruiting board members

 In Community

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is inviting innovative, forward-thinking community members to consider serving on its Board of Directors, offering a meaningful volunteer opportunity to help shape the future of local health care while advancing the hospital’s vision of Outstanding Care For Life.

As a trusted community hospital serving one of Canada’s fastest growing regions, CGMH is at a pivotal moment, responding to increasing health care demands while planning for a new, state-of-the-art hospital that will serve South Georgian Bay for generations. The Board of Directors plays a critical stewardship role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction and ensuring the long-term sustainability of high-quality care.

The current 11-member Board will have upcoming vacancies in June 2026, as Directors complete their terms. CGMH is seeking committed individuals who bring diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and lived experience, and who reflect the organization’s core values: Be Kind, Support Each Other, Lead By Example, and Keep Growing.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate collaborative leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and a commitment to continuous learning. CGMH is particularly interested in individuals with experience in:

  • Rural health care and knowledge of local communities
  • Human Resources, organizational behaviour, and workplace culture
  • Information technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
  • Governance or prior board experience

Candidates interested in applying are asked to submit a cover letter and resume at: cgmh.on.ca/careers.
