Editor:

I would like to share my feelings and disappointment with current council members as well as the Clearview parks and recreation staff.

It is mind boggling, the mess that has been made of Gowan Memorial Park bleachers. We have gone from great seating to an absolute disgrace. How can it be totally mishandled by people who should know better?

Thanks to those who fought for the new stands not the completely inappropriate seating for such a great diamond. The money and free labor were in place and was totally bungled by township from the beginning. The councillors who spent a lot of time at the park over the years should be ashamed of themselves for not working harder on the project.

As for Gord and his tireless work, I thank you. To Zack, you led a fantastic campaign to save, then replace, the bleachers, but to those who are seeking reelection in the upcoming election, you will not have my vote. If you cannot get this correct, how can you be supported?

I have been going to play, watch and participate at this park for 65 years and I cannot express my total disappointment in how Clearview has tended to this whole debacle they have created.

Mike Kinghan,

Creemore.
