Gowan, Rick Lee
Rick Gowan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer on November 12, 2015 in Okotoks, Alberta in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Cathie. Cherished father of Ashlee and Lindsay (Marty) and loving grandpa “Paddy” of Sydney, Cohen and Macy. Loved son of Gertie and dear brother of Susan (Fred) Prosser, Terry (Sue), Trudy (Wayne) Fraser, Dan (Lynn) and Tammy Parker. He will be sadly missed by sisters and brothers in law Linda and Angus York, Ron and Deb Goodhue and Aileen and Rich Kearney, as well as many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his father Carl Gowan in 1991. Visitation will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Creemore Chapel on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service is at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Creemore. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Foothills Country Hospice Society, Okotoks, AB or the Creemore Minor Hockey Association.
