Drivers charged for travelling on closed roads

Thirty-six drivers were charged with driving on a closed highway during Monday’s storm. 

Huronia West OPP said they were very busy assisting several stranded motorists in the area. As a result, police closed several roads due to white out conditions. While roads remained closed for a period of time, several motorists attempted to drive past roadblocks and closed-road signs.
