Police call for information relating to sexual assaults

The Major Crime Unit of the Huronia West OPP is notifying the public of an arrest made in Sexual Assault investigations stemming from multiple incidents.

It is alleged that in March 2025, the accused established contact with a young person, posing as “Justin, 15 yrs” using Snapchat, a popular online social media application, for the purposes of committing a criminal offence.

It is further alleged that in the Fall of 2024, while in the area of Wasaga’s Beach Area #1, the accused sexually assaulted a young person.

On Friday, March 14, Christopher Sisson, 23, of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and charged with one count of luring a child, one count of sexual assault, and one count of sexual interference.

He is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, Collingwood, on April 8. Investigators are concerned there may be more victims.
