Victorian Christmas

 In Events

Simcoe County Museum is hosting three enchanting evenings of holiday cheer during its Victorian Christmas event from Dec. 11-13.

From 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., visitors are invited to wander through lantern- lit pathways and explore beautifully decorated heritage buildings as traditional Christmas music fills the air. Shop for unique gifts from local artisans, enjoy a captivating show on our antique Magic Lantern, and warm up with a hot drink before taking a horse-drawn wagon ride through the snowy forest. Inside, join carollers in our 150-year-old church, create Victorian crafts and treats to take home, and sample delicious Victorian sweets. And of course, Father Christmas himself will be on-site to greet visitors and spread holiday joy.

Admission for this event is by donation, with all proceeds supporting the Friends of the Simcoe County Museum, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving local heritage. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations for the Barrie Food Bank and/or the Simcoe County Paramedics’ Christmas Toy Drive.

Simcoe County Museum is located at 1151 ON-26, Minesing. For more details, please visit museum.simcoe.ca.
