St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 215 Pine St., will host the World Day of Prayer ecumenical worship service at 2 p.m. This year’s theme, “I Will Give You Rest: Come,” is based on Matthew 11:28-30 and features the program title “Rest for the Weary” by Nigerian artist Gift Amarachi Ottah. The service was originally prepared by the World Day of Prayer Nigeria and adapted for Canadian use by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada. A light lunch will be served in the hall following the celebration.
