Donna Joan Berneice Stephens (née York) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Campbell House Hospice. Donna Joan was the devoted wife of 50 years to her beloved husband, Doug. She was a proud and loving mother to Brian, Blake, Mark, and Chad (Emily), and an amazing grandmother to Teegan, Scarlett, Silas, Adelio, Alessandro, Andreas, and Cadence, who brought her immense joy. Born in Collingwood, Donna Joan was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Berneice York. She will be deeply missed by her brothers Rodger (Stella), Angus (Linda), and Dennis (Lois), and fondly remembered by the Stephens family, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Donna Joan was a natural caregiver who always put others before herself. She had a generous spirit and would help anyone in need, always seeing the best in people. Her sons, and later her grandchildren, were the centre of her world and her greatest source of happiness. She had a love for collecting antiques and never missed a chance to wear a little sparkle. Donna Joan connected easily with others and treasured sharing stories, laughter, and time with family and friends. A loyal and caring friend, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth. Donna Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. As per her wishes cremation has taken place.
