Creemore

Celebrations at the Creemore Legion include a breakfast and barbecue, starting at 11 a.m. There will be a street hockey tournament, and children’s activities from 1 p.m. Hop on your decorated bike and take part in the Bike Parade starting at Mad River Park. Free registration for the crazy hat contest at the Clearview Tourism Booth.

Don’t miss the Steve Baker Magic Show at 8 p.m. and fireworks at 9:45 p.m. at the arena.

9:30 a.m. – Street Hockey on Veterans Way in front of the Legion.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – The Creemore Ladies Auxiliary Canada Day Brunch at the Legion.

1 p.m. – Harold Crawford Memorial Bike Parade from Mad River Park to Legion. Everyone is welcome to participate. 

1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Ladies BBQ at the Legion, Olde Thyme Games, Three Legged Sack Race, Egg and Spoon Race, Scavenger Hunt, Water Balloon Toss Lawn Bowling, Ring and Bean Bag Toss, Water First Activity Station

Cake cutting at 2 p.m. Free cake for everyone.

6 p.m. BBQ at the east side of the Legion.

8 p.m. Singing of O CANADA, Award presentations

8:30 p.m. The Baker Magic Show

FIREWORKS AT DUSK!

This year’s fireworks will be great. Please donate to the Boot drive, the collection jars about town or contact Norm at 705-466-6748 to donate.

Stayner 

Clearview’s Canada Day Parade organized by volunteers from the Central Ontario ATV Club. The Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Station Park and ends at the Stayner Arena.

Join in the Stayner Heritage Society’s celebrations at Centennial Park, 240 Brock St. from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Heritage Homes tours, silent auction, photo booth and family activities, plus the country sounds from The Dusty Roads Band. Also, 150 free cupcakes will be given out to commemorate the town of Stayner’s 150th anniversary.

Free public swimming at Stayner Centennial Pool, 255 Oak St., is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; free lane swim from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; free public swim, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., sponsored by the Stayner Lions Club.

Throughout Clearview

Between June 29 and July 3, find 13 flags in local parks and heritage sites throughout Clearview Township.

There are 18 geocaches hidden throughout Clearview Township. This week, there will be Canada Flag pins in the containers. Find the geocaches and keep the pins.

Businesses are encouraged to decorate and take part in the Clearview Chamber of Commerce best-dressed contest. Snap a picture and email to clearviewchamber@gmail.com. Win a 2023 Chamber membership.

Clearview staff is encouraging people to post their photos and videos to social media using the hashtag #clearviewcanadadaycelebration.
