Irwin, John O.

John O. Irwin was actively involved in his community and was a member of St. David’s Anglican Church,  Retired Chief of Tosorontio Fire Department and a member of Seven Star Lodge #285 A.F. & A.M. Alliston. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Riverwood Senior Living, Alliston in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Helen Irwin of Everett. Loved father of Julie Whitley (Steve) of Avening and predeceased by his son John C. Irwin. Loving poppa of Keira and Peyton. Brother of the late Audrey Reid, Bill Irwin and Joe Irwin. Brother-in-law of Eva Irwin, Joanne Irwin and the late John Reid. John will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Friday, June 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a  Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. David’s Anglican Church, Everett on Saturday, June 8 at 11 a.m. Interment St. David’s Cemetery. If so desired memorial donations to St. David’s Anglican Church or Everett Fire Department would be appreciated.
