Creemore Echo launches food and toy drive

 In Business, News

The Creemore Echo is launching its annual food and toy drive.
Each Christmas, The Echo collects items for those in need. We are collecting food and cash for the Clearview-Stayner Food Bank, operated by the Clearview Ministerial Association.
Because Salvation Army Hope Acres is no longer distributing Christmas hampers, the gifts will be distributed through County of Simcoe Paramedic Services. New, unwrapped toys will be collected during their 17th annual drive.
During the last 16 years, paramedics have collected more than 78,000 toys, 30,000 pounds of food and over $155,000 in monetary and gift card donations for families across Simcoe County.
Toys are needed for the younger children and gift cards are good for older children. Other gift cards, such as movie passes, make good gifts for teens and tweens.
Drop donations off at The Creemore Echo office, located at 3 Caroline St. W.
Paramedics will also be collecting items during the Creemore and Stayner Santa Claus parades on Dec. 7 and at the Joint Emergency Services hub at 6993 Highway 26, Stayner.
