Laura Joy Davidson passed away peacefully at Trillium Manor in Orillia, on Friday, May 3, 2019, in her 90th year. Loving mother of Melodie Burkett (nee: Kowalski) (Mike). Cherished Grandmother of Jeremy Jon Scheetz (Lindsay Moore) and Benjamin Murdoch Scheetz. Loved Great-Grandmother of Zoe, Liam and Stella Scheetz. Dear Aunt of Daniel Scott (Bonnie)-Beau and Skye Scott, Laurel Shaw (Bob)-Brynn, James Gibney (Elaine), Pat Lofthouse and Great Aunt to Brooke and Miles and Great Great Aunt to Evan and Dylan. Tammy Weirheid (Peter)-Ryan and Kyley, Jill Erskin Kellie (John)-Andrew, Wayne Healey (Jennifer and Kevin), and Susan Davidson (Dusty). Laura will be deeply missed by her closest friend and sister June Scott. Predeceased by her parents Murdoch and Phyllis Davidson, brother Kenneth Davidson and sister Phyllis Gibney. Laura will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives and friends. At Laura’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place.
A Private Celebration of Laura’s Life will take place in Toronto on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from noon to 3 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Paul’s Union Cemetery (Agnew Rd. Washago, Ontario) at a later date. Laura will rest beside her good friend and former husband Frank J. Kowalski.
