Echo should demonstrate more neutral coverage

As a member of the Conservative Party, I was concerned that the lead story in last week’s Echo omitted any comment from our elected MP, who is also in the running for the Conservative nomination.

In the interest of fairness, this is troubling.

We have an amazing MP in Dr. Kellie Leitch, who has massive support in the riding. I will certainly vote for her in the nomination because she has local experience as well as former government experience; having been a Minister with two portfolios.

There is a small vocal and isolated group spreading misinformation, which gets a disproportionate amount of ink. I would like to see our paper, which I support and think that we are very fortunate to have, demonstrate more neutral coverage of issues in our village.
