Horning’s Mills Community Hall held a Spring Cellar Supper March 18. A three course meal inspired by local root cellar recipes from centuries past was prepared by Chef Jason Reiner and Corry Boyd. Thanks to The Dufferin Circle of Storytellers, Dufferin County Museum Archivist Laura Camilleri, Mayor and Warden Darren White, The Pine River Institute, John Little for donating his 50/50 draw winnings back to the hall, and as always, many thanks to all the farmers of Melancthon who work hard to put such beautiful food on our tables. The dinner was delicious, the stories of local history were delightful, and many funds were raised, all to be put back into maintaining and improving the community hall.
