Roy Helmer passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 21, 2019 in his 80th year. Roy, beloved husband of Bernice will be missed by his sons Wayde (Tina) and Darran (Merrilu); grandchildren Cody, Dallas, Taylor (Keith Clarke), Devon, Brittany (Ryan Baker), Kevin and Michael and great grandson Colton. He is survived by his brothers Harold (Doris) and Larry; predeceased by brothers Henry (June), Stanley (Jean) and George (Dorothy) and sisters Mary (Clyne), Lois (Martin) and June (Earl). Family and friends were received at Fawcett Funeral Home – Creemore Chapel on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in the chapel at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Spring interment at Stayner Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
