Legion presents Canada Day citizen of the year awards

Residents and visitors braved the scorching heat July 1 to celebrate Canada Day in Creemore, with cake, activities, parades and ball hockey all hosted by the Creemore Legion, Clearview firefighters and individual residents. That day, Gayle Millsap and Ken Thornton were named the Legionʼs citizens of the year, with Clearview Township Deputy Mayor Barry Burton and Legion members Jim Richards and Jim Henderson presenting.
