Library judges Witches Walk costumes

The 4th annual Witches Walk sponsored by the Stayner Chamber of Commerce is taking place this Friday night, Nov. 4, in Stayner. Event passports cost $10 and are available at participating merchants such as Stayner Home Hardware and Exit Realty. The event is a fundraiser for The Stayner Door.

The Stayner branch of the Clearview Public Library will be judging a costume contest in five categories: The grand prize (the complete witch); Most likely to scare little kids out of their candy; Most knowledgeable witch (prize selected from a random draw of correct answers to our in-house quiz about all things “witchy”); Best DIY (hand-made costume) with extra points for an extraordinary imaginative hat, make-up, broom, cloak and shoes; Best littlest witch (12 years and younger); Best pet (familiar) costume (live or stuffed). Photos will be taken between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

There will also be a number of activities.
