 In Community

Applications for RAY’s Place scholarships and bursaries are now being accepted. The deadline is rapidly approaching – all applications must be postmarked by May 2.
Students from Central Clearview and North Mulmur who are attending, or who are recent graduates of, Stayner Collegiate Institute, Collingwood Collegiate Institute, Jean Vanier Catholic High School, and Centre Dufferin District High School are eligible to apply. The precise catchment area for the awards is shown on the applications which are available online at raysplaceyrc.com or in the guidance department at the high schools.
This year, there is one $20,000 scholarship available for students pursuing post-secondary education at a Canadian university.
The scholarship is payable over four years, $5,000 per year, subject to continuing eligibility requirements.
There are approximately 10 bursaries available for 2019 for students pursuing further studies at either community college, trade school or through an apprenticeship. Bursaries, up to $1,000, can be used for a variety of expenses associated with a student’s education.
Interviews will be held with all finalists in late May and decisions regarding awards will be made in late May and early June.
Directions for enquiries are available in the applications along with the mailing address for completed applications.
Interested students should apply online at raysplaceyrc.com or visit the school guidance department.
