See Harry Potter in panto

There are three upcoming performances of Sandcastle Theatre’s Potter the Panto, starring Clearview Township student Alex Wyant as Potter.

The family-friendly musical infused with lively audience participation takes the Harry Potter story and turns it upside down as the audience is taken on a journey following three wizard students from the Collingwood Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The enterprising young students deal with dragons, sing with mermaids and battle with the One Who Shall Not Be Named.

Shows are Friday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., at New Life Church, located at 28 Tracey Lane in Collingwood. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for students and are available online at www.sandcastletheatre.com.

Potter The Panto is an original script by Sandcastle Theatre founder, Stephanie Fowler. The production is directed by Laura LaChapelle, with choreography by Deanne Service and Musical direction by Nadia Mear.
