Sunnidale Winterama 2019

It was pure bedlam at Sunnidale Winterama over the weekend of Feb. 1-3, especially during the bed races held before the parade Saturday morning. Four teams of firefighters propelled their wheeled beds down the main street, with Clearview Fire Station 5, Singhampton (above) coming out victorious. The award for best parade float went to New Lowell Central Public School, who really channelled their flannel, which was the theme of the weekend. Clearview won the log sawing contest thanks to Councillor John Lamers and Mayor Doug Measures, who sawed through the log in one-and-a half-minutes, a full minute faster than Wasaga Beach councillors Stan Wells and George Watson.
