Tennis club offers youth programs

The nets are up and the tennis courts are ready to open.
The club is offering children’s evening lessons beginning on Thursday, May 16, a Friday teen program and an adult doubles strategy lesson program, in addition to other tournaments.
Children’s programs run for six weeks starting on Thursday, May 16. Played on a full court using modified tennis balls. A game based approach is used which allows players to find their own solutions to challenges. Children need only their own racquet.
Junior play n’ learn age categories are 5-7; 7-10; 11-14 playing at different times.
Teen and adult programs run Fridays for six weeks starting on May 17.
Teens (18 and under) play at 6 p.m. and doubles strategy is at 7 p.m. (For individuals and couples: an opportunity to learn the finer points of the doubles game). The cost for both is $75.
Cost for lessons varies by age group.
Creemore Tennis Club’s summer camp for ages 8-13 will run from 9 am to noon, July 8-12 promising a fun filled week of playing games and learning tennis skills. Cost is $110.
Creemore Tennis will be selling memberships at the Creemore Farmers’ Market on May 18 and 25.
