Tour the real gardens of Creemore

 In Events

Are you looking ideas for your back yard garden?

Whether you are looking to replace a grassy lawn with a more varied and colourful environment, seeking to combine vegetables and flowers in an attractive yet productive way, or developing a tranquil space to relax, seeing the creative results of other Creemore residents’ efforts may provide just the inspiration you need.  It is always fun to take a peek at what others are growing in their private spaces!

Creemore Horticultural Society is pleased to present a self-guided walking tour of seven “Real Gardens of Creemore” on July 15, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All gardens are located within the village and are in easy walking distance of each other.

These delightful gardens have been built and maintained primarily by their resident owners.

The resulting beautiful spaces are each uniquely reflective of the owners’ personalities and needs. Some are simple, some are complex, most are small but all are interesting. Each owner will be in his or her garden and available to discuss its distinctive features with you.

Tickets for the tour are $15. You may buy your tickets in advance in Creemore at the office of The Creemore Echo or at Curiosity House Bookstore.  Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of the tour at the Horticultural Park next to Station on the Green or at each garden on the tour.  For more information, please contact CreemoreHort@gmail.com.

Proceeds from the tour will help support the several public gardens maintained by CHS.

Judi Parker is president of the Creemore Horticultural Society.
