Wesetvik, Edward Einar

 In Obituaries

Ed Wesetvik died peacefully at home in Picton Ontario on June 15. Edward was born to Mikael and Ida Wesetvik in 1936 in Bergen Norway. He boldly ventured to Canada in 1968 with his wife Margaret and infant daughter Suzanne to embark on new challenges that resulted in a successful career in Capital Markets compliance. “Ed” as he was known to his TSE, industry and eventual County friends, was always regarded as a gentleman and someone ready for new adventures. His wanderlust finally led him fittingly to Prince Edward County, where he found a wonderful community of caring and generous people who took him in with open arms. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make Ed’’s final years so full of fellowship and friendship.

Predeceased by his brother Magne Wesetvik and sister Solveig Dyregrov of Norway, ‘Bestee’ will be greatly missed by his children Suzanne Wesetvik (Jim Campbell) and Myles Wesetvik (Chaela Walker), grandchildren Sadie and Esmé Campbell, and Brody and Leah Wesetvik. Uncle Einar will also be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews and family in Norway, as well as his in-laws in Ireland.

A graveside service will be held at Quaker Cemetery, Bloomfield on Saturday, June 22nd at 11 a.m. All are welcome. If desired, donations to Gilead Fellowship or The County of Prince Edward Public Library “Time to Renew” would be appreciated by the family. May he Rest In Peace.
