Counterfeit bills passed in Stayner

Police say two counterfeit American $50 bills were used this month at a Stayner business.

The bills were used by two men described as white, one with dark hair, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, the other with an olive complexion, parka style jacket with a fur hood, which was up.

The bills differed from authentic money in size and texture and both had the same serial number.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Huronia West OPP at 705-429-3575 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.
