Sunshine List released

Eight Clearview Township employees have made the 2017 Sunshine List.

The list is released to the public each spring as required by law under the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act and reveals the annual salaries and taxable benefits of public sector employees who earn $100,000 or more.

CAO Steve Sage tops the list at $142,890.65, followed by Director of Finance and Treasurer Edward Henley at $122,871.70, Director of Legislative Services and Clerk Pamela Fettes at $112,723.80, Director of Community Services Mara Burton at $108,089.52, General Manager of Environmental Services Mike Rawn at $104,859.30, General Manager of Transportation and Drainage Gerry Lemay at $104,859.30, Fire Chief Colin Shewell at $104,859.30 and Library CEO Jennifer La Chapelle at $100,073.96.

“Clearview Township evaluates municipal wages every few years to ensure that a competitive market wage is being offered as it is important to retain and attract professional talent,” said Clearview Mayor Christopher Vanderkruys in a news release.

Mulmur Township has one employee on the list; CAO Terry Horner earned $117,793.54.

The list also includes a number of school board, hospital and other local public sector employees.
