Creemore bus, “use it or lose it”

 In News

Residents are being asked for feedback on the Creemore to Stayner Route launched by Clearview transit in October.
The new route is a pilot project, with Mayor Doug Measures saying this is a “use it or lose it” proposition.
Councillor Thom Paterson told council that when he boarded the Creemore bus about two weeks after the launch of the new service, he was the first paying passenger.
A survey can be found at clearview.ca/transit. It will take about two minutes to complete and results will help determine the future of the service.
There will be no Clearview transit service on Wednesday, Dec. 25 or Wednesday, Jan. 1. The Clearview Township Administration Centre will close at noon on Dec. 24, and reopen Thursday, Jan. 2.

It wouldn’t be a use it or lose it if the policy of funding transit from gas tax revenues had not been cancelled by the Ford government.
