Peter Dušek’s “Field Work” opens at Museum of Dufferin
The public is invited to a free event at the museum to celebrate the opening of Field Work, a new photographic exhibition by acclaimed Hockley Valley artist Peter Dušek, who has a gallery in Creemore.
In Field Work, Dušek captures the quiet poetry of rural architecture – barns, silos, and countryside structures – through a lens that transforms the familiar into abstract compositions of colour and shape. His photographs reimagine these buildings not simply as relics of the rural landscape, but as bold visual elements in a greater conversation between land and sky.
Each image distills complex scenery into striking geometric planes, emphasizing the harmony and contrast between man-made structures and the natural environment. Field Work is both a visual meditation and a tribute to the way rural landscapes evolve, revealing the subtle ways architecture and environment inform one another.
Dušek’s award-winning work is held in private and corporate collections worldwide.
The opening is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Museum of Dufferin, 936029 Airport Road, Mulmur. Free admission. Light refreshments provided. For more about the artist, visit www.peterdusek.com or follow @peter.dusek on Instagram.
