Registration open for Hike & Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle
Registration is now open for the 2026 Hike & Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle, inviting the community to come together for a day of fun, fundraising and compassionate support for local hospice palliative care. The event takes place Sunday, May 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Collingwood Curling Club. Participants can choose to hike 6 km, bike 6 km or bike 20 km along the beautiful Collingwood trails.
Hosted by Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation, the annual Hike & Bike raises funds to support hospice palliative care for individuals with life- limiting illnesses and their families across South Georgian Bay. Every dollar raised helps ensure care and support remain available when and where they are needed most.
“Each year, the Hike & Bike brings out the very best in our community,” said Sandra Sullivan, executive director, Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation. “It is a chance for families, friends, co-workers and neighbours to come together, get active and make a real difference for people facing some of life’s most difficult moments. The need for hospice palliative care and grief support in South Georgian Bay continues to grow. In its 2025 Impact Report, Hospice Georgian Triangle reported caring for 302 individuals and families at Campbell House, delivering 3,080 visits through its community care team, and providing grief and bereavement support to 1,721 people. The organization also recorded 12,877 volunteer hours over the past year.
Last year’s event raised $223,620, with more than 650 participants taking part on the Collingwood trails. Those funds helped keep hospice care and grief support free of charge for patients and families.
