Firefighters train for ice rescues

 In News

On Feb. 15, firefighters from Clearview Station 3 in New Lowell conducted ice rescue training at the New Lowell Conservation Area. With numerous bodies of water and rivers throughout the township, firefighters train throughout the year. Fire Chief Scott Davison said it is important to always be ready, as firefighters have been called on for numerous ice rescues over the years. The Township of Clearview has also recently entered into an automatic aid agreement with the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio to provide ice/water and rope rescue for their entire township.
