Clearview council has approved a community assistance grant in the amount of $3,000 to help cover the costs of new jerseys for the North Dufferin Baseball League Creemore junior and senior teams.
The request was for $3,600 but because council had agreed to waive fees for the league at its previous meeting, resulting in a savings of about $650 to help ease the financial burden of re-branding to eliminate Indigenous themes and imagery.
Previously, council had granted $1,400 to Creemore Minor Baseball to help pay for new uniforms and new patches for some of the old uniforms.
